Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, North SR 15 north of West CR 1350N, Milford. Driver: April M. Bobeck, 28, North Old Road 15, Milford. Bobeck told police she was driving northbound on SR 15 when, crossing over a bridge, she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to strike a guard rail. Damage up to $2,500.
8:01 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, North SR 15, north of West CR 800N, Leesburg. Driver: Deea A. Vester, 68, North CR 850E, North Webster. Vester told police she was driving northbound on SR 15 when a truck hauling a trailer left the roadway and came back on, causing the trailer to strike the passenger side of her vehicle. Vester told police her vehicle began to fish tail and in correcting, she was unable to get a license plate number of the truck, which fled the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
7:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, North SR 15, south of West CR 900N, Milford. Drivers: Cori J. Catron, 27, Briar Ridge Circle, Warsaw, Adam P. Liehr, 29,East Harrison Avenue, Wabash. Liehr told police he lost control of his vehicle on ice and slid into the ditch. While he was waiting on a wrecker, Catron lost control of his vehicle and collided with Liehr’s vehicle. Catron told police he began to slow down but lost control due to ice. Damage up to $25,000.
6:39 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, East CR 350S, west of South CR 700E, Pierceton. Driver: Cheyenne M. Keene, 20, West 8th Street, New Albany. Keene told police she was driving eastbound on CR 350S when a deer entered the roadway. Keene said she could not avoid hitting the deer with her vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
12:53 p.m. Sunday, March 4, Rivercrest Drive west of Walnut Creek Boulevard, Warsaw. Driver: Alejandro M. Gonzalez, 36, Mineral Springs Avenue, Winona Lake. Gonzalez told police he was backing up out of a driveway and did not see the parked car belonging to a resident who lived across the street. Alejandro told police the the collision occurred between 4 and 5 a.m. but that he waited to report the incident to the owner because he did not want to wake him up. Damage up to $2,500.
Mentone
Officers with the Mentone Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:39 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, West Main Street, Mentone. Police investigated a report from a resident that his his vehicle was side-swiped while parked sometime on or about Feb. 24. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
3:51 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, SR 15 north of North Plaza Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Conner M. Um, 16, Hawthorn Drive, Warsaw, Philip R. King, 39, North CR 200W, Milford. Um told police he was attempting to cross SR 15 from Arby’s to O’s Computers and did not see the vehicle driven by King. King told police he was traveling northbound on SR 15 and was unable to avoid hitting Um’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
3:01 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, North Parker Street, south of East Dubois Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Jennifer L. Gasaway, 32, North 2nd Street, Warsaw, Mary B. Burelison, 56, East South Barb Drive, Pierceton. Gasaway told police she was attempting to turn left onto Parker Street and did not see the vehicle driven by Burelison. Gasaway’s vehicle collided with Burelison’s vehicle. Burelison complained of neck pain and was transported by EMS to Parkview Hospital. Gasaway was cited for having expired plates and for not having proper insurance. Damage up to $5,000.
