IBCA Salutes Prep Cagers For Academics
INDIANAPOLIS – A plethora of area high school basketball players have earned All-State Academic honors from the IBCA.
The recipients, all seniors, had to be nominated by their respective coaches. They had to have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and also rank in the top 25 percent of their class and have certain scores on either the SAT or ACT to be considered for the honor.
Named first-team on the boys’ side were Caleb Glick of NorthWood and Kadin McCrammer of Plymouth.
Honorable mention choices for the boys included Drew Stichter of Triton, Caleb Lung of NorthWood, Jakob Maxwell of Elkhart Christian Academy, Jacob Good of LaVille, Rylen Grundy of South Bend Riley and Noah Krathwohl of Penn.
Aryn Eash of LaVille was a first-team choice for the girls’ team.
Area players named honorable mention included Lindsey Aschenbrenner (LaVille), Haley Berger (LaVille), Sara Doi (penn), Savannah Feenstra (NorthWood), Katey Gaff (Elkhart Central), Ayla Gray (Northridge), Alyssa Grzesiowski (Mishawaka Marian), Jill Kissinger (Goshen), Hannah Marie-Lamle (Wawasee), MaKenzie Quissell (Plymouth), Riara Reschly (Northridge), Kabrea Rostochak (Wawasee), Nicole Sechrist (Triton) and Jessica Slone (Lakeland Christian Academy).
