David Everly Sentenced To Three Years After Buying Heroin From His Daughter
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was sentenced today in Kosciusko Circuit Court for dealing a narcotic drug.
David A. Everly, 53, 1470 East CR 550S, Warsaw, was charged with dealing a narcotic drug, a level 5 felony; and maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 18, 2017, Everly bought .3 grams of heroin from his daughter, Amanda Perkins, at a local hotel. Officers obtained a search warrant and found .2 grams of heroin, learning that Everly used the remaining amount. It was discovered that they were dealing out of the hotel room and another residents.
Everly stated in court that he has changed his lifestyle dramatically for the sake of his health.
Judge Michael Reed sentenced Everly to three years at the Indiana Department of Corrections, with an additional three years to be served on formal probation.
