Kosciusko County Receives Narcan Grant

KOSCIUSKO — Sheriff William Rocky Goshert, Warsaw Fire Chief Michael Wilson and Kosciusko County Health Department Administrator Robert Weaver would like to announce the receipt of an Indiana Department of Health grant this month for Kosciusko County.
All three organizations cooperatively filed a grant with the Indiana Department of Health for doses of Narcan to provide to First Responders in Kosciusko County. The grant provides 400 doses of Narcan to aid Kosciusko County while responding to overdose calls in the jurisdiction. Training is being provided by the state during the month of March for the application of the Narcan.
Warsaw Fire Department is handling the deployment of the life saving measure to fire departments and EMS services in Kosciusko County. The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department will be handling the deployment to local police departments in Kosciusko County.
