IBCA Honors Plethora Of Prep Players
The postseason honors continue to come in for a plethora of area prep girls basketball players.
The IBCA/Subway All-State teams were released earlier today.
Named as All-State in the Large School division were seniors Brooke McKinley of Northridge, Sara Doi of Penn and Asia Strong of South Bend Riley.
McKinley led the Raiders to a third straight undefeated season in the Northern Lakes Conference. She finished her career as the program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,159 career points. Doi paced Penn to Class 4-A sectional and regional championships.
Honorable mention choices included Savannah Feenstra of NorthWood and Erica Zook of Fairfield. Also earning honorable mention nods were Tia Chambers (Penn), Aryn Eash (LaVlle), Krisen Hunt (Elkhart Central), Sierra Peete (Elkhart Memorial), Kennedy Musselman (Rochester) and Meghan Urbanski (Mishawaka Marian).
Morgan Litwiller of Northridge was tabbed as an Under Class All-State performer for the Large School division. Karlee Feldman of Bremen earned honors among Small School players.
Sophie Bussard of Tippecanoe Valley and Trinitee Harris of Elkhart Central were honorable mention picks to the Under Class All-State selections.
