Milford Public Library Announces Upcoming Events
MILFORD — The Milford Public Library will host the following events during the week of Feb. 26:
NEW ITEMS AVAILABLE THIS FEBRUARY
New adult DVDs available at Milford Public Library include A Bad Mom’s Christmas, A Question of Faith, Suburbicon, and Wonder. Same Kind of Different as Me will be available Feb. 20. Children’s DVDs include Bob the Builder: Mega Machines, Scooby Doo and Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and My Little Pony.
Adult CDs include Mothership by Led Zeppelin, Diamond Diana: The Legacy Collection, and Camila by Camila Cabello.
Thrilling titles for adults include Poison by John Lescroart, Into the Black Nowhere by Meg Gardiner, Killer Choice by Tom Hunt, and Operator Down by Brad Taylor.
Live life to the fullest with new nonfiction books Trim Healthy Mama’s Trim Healthy Table by Pearl Barrett and Happiness is a Choice You Make by John Leland. Nonfiction titles can be found in the new nonfiction section in the adult department.
Teens may enjoy Thunderhead, the sequel to Neal Shusterman’s futuristic novel Scythe. Another new title in the teen fiction section is Atia Abawi’s A Land of Permanent Goodbyes, which follows refugees escaping Syria.

HEART HEALTHY NUTRITION PROGRAM
February is American Heart Month, and one of the most important things we can do to keep our hearts healthy is to eat a heart healthy diet. Join Jackie Franks from the Purdue Extension Office at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26 for this one-hour program to learn about heart healthy cooking, heart healthy eating, and the DASH eating plan. You’ll have a chance to win door prizes! A sign-up sheet is available now at the adult circulation desk. Bring a friend and sign up for this FREE program.

Adults 18 and older can win prizes just by reading! For each audiobook listened to or book (E-book) read, participants can enter their name into a weekly drawing for a prize. No library card needed! SNOW STORY TIME
There are no two snowflakes exactly alike! Hear more facts about snowflakes at Story Time this week at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28 and at 7 p.m. on March 1. Story Time is for children ages 3 to 6. Children will be introduced to the wonder of libraries through hearing great stories, making fun crafts, and sharing delicious snacks.
