Caucus Being Held For Monroe Township Trustee Following Josh Spangle’s Resignation
KOSCIUSKO — Due to the resignation of Monroe Township Trustee Josh Spangle, effective March 15, who is moving from the Township, a caucus will be held to fill the vacancy. Spangle has been a Monroe Township Trustee for the past six years.
The caucus will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, in the old courtroom of the Kosciusko County Courthouse.
Eligible members of the caucus are the Republican Precinct Committeemen in Monroe Township who have served continuously, from 30 days prior to the date of the commencement of the caucus.
Declarations of candidacy are available at the office of Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 North Lake Street, Warsaw, and must be filed with the Chairman, no later than 7 p.m. Saturday, March 10. Declarations can be delivered to Chairman Michael Ragan at 1458 East CR75N, Warsaw.
Eligible candidates will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to address the voting caucus. A Monroe Township Trustee shall be elected by secret ballot of the majority of members of the voting caucus to fill the vacancy in the office.
Eligible members of the caucus, candidates, designated caucus staff, Republican Party Officials, duly appointed watchers, and members of the news media shall be eligible to attend the caucus.
