MILFORD
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:38 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, South Higbee Street, near West Emeline Street, Milford. Drivers: Jose L. Vega, 23, East 200 North 2, Warsaw, and Toni K. Smith, 56, Blackstone Blvd., Nappanee. Vega was driving north on Higbee Street when his vehicle struck some ice and slid into the southbound lane, hitting Smith’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
WARSAW
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:14 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 1205 Provident Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Jan A. Ulmer, 55, East Sunset Drive, Bourbon, and Corinne N. Adams, 26, West Main Street, Warsaw. Ulmer stated that she was driving north through the Beyer parking lot. She stopped at an intersection, stating that she didn’t see any traffic coming and proceeded to turn right. As Ulmer turned, her vehicle struck Adams’ vehicle. Adams attempted to avoid contact, but sustained damage to the front and rear passenger side doors. Elmer sustained damage to the front driver side bumper area. Damage up to $10,000.
3:38 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, State Road 15, north of 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Donnie D. Newman, 55, West 300S, Kewanna; Brandon Reamer, 18, East Market Street, Nappanee, and Keifer R. Tomblin II, 39, West Leigh Drive, Warsaw. Newman stated she was driving south on State Road 15 when she saw a vehicle in front of her stop, but she couldn’t stop in time. Her vehicle collided with the rear of Reamer’s vehicle, and Reamer’s vehicle collided with the rear of Tomblin II’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
3:18 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, East Center Street, near South Maple Street. Drivers: Timothy W. Yoder, 61, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw, and Sherry A. Montague, 55, East Center Street B, Warsaw. Yoder stated that he was driving east on East Center Street and that Montague’s vehicle signaled to turn right, suddenly braking. Yoder hit his brakes, but his vehicle struck Montague’s. Montague said she turned on her blinker and slowed down for the turn, noticing that Yoder’s vehicle was not slowing down. Montague was transported to KCH, complaining of pain in her head, upper left arm, lower back and left leg. Damage up to $5,000.
