Warsaw FFA Places Sixth In State Contest
WARSAW — The Warsaw FFA Chapter Meeting Team competed in the Indiana State FFA Chapter Meeting Contest held at Lebanon High School Jan. 26. The team placed sixth in the state competition.
The purpose of the contest is to demonstrate the correct procedures of an official FFA chapter meeting, including opening ceremonies, order of business, handling of numerous motions and closing ceremonies. Student objectives include demonstrating the use parliamentary procedure to conduct an orderly and efficient meeting, demonstrate knowledge of parliamentary law and reference Robert’s Rules of Order, present logical, realistic and convincing discussion as well as record complete and accurate minutes.
The group was coached by advisors Jacob Riley and Julie Carrell along with community member Ot Schroeder.
