Warsaw Basketball: Frosh Ladies Claim NLC Tourney Title
SYRACUSE – The Warsaw freshman girls basketball team ended its season on a high note by winning the NLC Tournament Saturday.
The frosh Tigers opened play at Wawasee with a 30-7 win over Goshen.
Lindsey Bradley led the way with 13 points for the winners. Sydney Lancaster scored six points and Aubrey Hepler added five. Ema Jenkins netted four points and Nadi Hardy scored two.
Warsaw then topped Wawasee 23-14 in the championship game. The Tigers, who had lost by three points to the Warriors during the regular season, led 17-6 at halftime thanks to a strong start.
Bradley once again paced the offense as she tallied 14 points in the championship contest. Lancaster scored five points and Jenkins and Hepler each had two.
Warsaw finished with a 9-10 mark with wins in its final three games.
