Triton Volleyball: Sechrist Signs With Taylor
BOURBON — Triton High School senior Nicole Sechrist signed her letter of intent Friday to play volleyball at Taylor University beginning in the fall.
Sechrist has had a distinguished athletic career at Triton High School as a three-sport athlete competing in basketball, softball and volleyball, where she earned varsity letters in each of her four years. As a senior, Sechrist led the Blue Slam in numerous statistical categories with 351 kills, 42 aces, 61 blocks and 240 digs, helping Triton to its fourth straight sectional championship and a 16-17 overall finish.
Taylor University is a private, evangelical Christian College located in Upland, Ind. The Trojans finished the 2017 season at 20-16 and 10-8 in Crossroads League play, good enough for fourth in the conference.
