Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
5:51 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, North SR 15, south of West 600N, Warsaw. Driver: Jordan R. Renz, 26, West US 30, Larwill. Hit deer. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:02 p.m. West Lake Street, Warsaw. Driver: Crist A. Helmuth, 41, CR 38, Goshen. As Helmuth was attempting to back his company’s bucket truck into a parking space, the rear of the folded boom arm collided with a light post and pushed it back bending the metal post. Damage up to $5,000.
11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Driver: Kathy A. Sponseller, 59, West CR 300N, Etna Green. Sponseller was backing her vehicle and saw a man laying on the ground. She heard the man, Robert L. Long, 75, East CR 1150N, Milford, tell another person her vehicle had struck him. Long told police he was in the parking lot, walking back to his vehicle and when walking behind Sponseller’s vehicle, it started to back up so he tapped the rear of the vehicle with his hand to let the driver know he was there, but it continued backing, knocking him to the ground. Long went to Kosciusko Community Hospital several hours later, with pain to his right knee and lower back. Damage under $750.
