Boys Basketball
Wawasee pulled out a tight freshman boys basketball win Monday night.
Kameron Salazar scored a team-high 16 points to lead the Warriors to a 42-37 win over Fairfield in Benton.
Ethan Carey tossed in nine points, Brandon Tayagua had seven points and Adam Beer six points in the victory.
Wawasee moves to 13-2 overall with two days to prepare for a visit to Concord on Wednesday.
Girls Basketball
Northridge’s program continued its run against Wawasee, taking the freshman game Monday night in a 31-22 final. The win pairs with the varsity and JV wins from earlier in the season.
Jade Kauffman led the winners with nine points while Brylee Froman added eight points.
Autumn Turner and Aiyana Perales each scored six points for the Lady Warriors while Ava Harker and Ella Beezley netted four points each.
Wawasee slips to 4-4 overall with its next game Wednesday at Concord.
