WARSAW — A Warsaw man has been charged with sexual battery after placing his hand down a minor’s pants while he slept. The man was previously president of the Warsaw Little League and has been involved with the program for nearly two decades.
Lance Wesley Leeper, 46, 1411 Rivercrest Drive, Warsaw, is being charged with sexual battery, a level 6 felony, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a class A misdemeanor.
An officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department met with a minor male who advised he had stayed the night at Leeper’s house on Dec. 31, 2017.
At around 5 a.m. Jan. 1, the minor woke up to Leeper’s hand on his penis masturbating the minor without his permission or consent. At that point, the minor left the bed and slept the rest of the night on the couch.
The officer then spoke with Leeper who admitted that the minor had stayed the night at his house. Leeper told the officer that he provided the minor with vodka and the minor drank it. Leeper further admitted to placing his hand down the minor’s pants while he was sleeping and stroking the minor’s penis.
Leeper was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Jan. 19, with a $25,250 surety and cash bond.
