Warsaw Basketball: Frosh Teams Handle Concord
WARSAW – A fast start carried the Warsaw freshman boys basketball team to a convincing win over Concord Thursday night.
The host Tigers led 15-2 after the opening period en route to a 39-27 win over the Minutemen in Northern Lakes Conference play.
Bishop Walters led the way for the winners with 12 points.
Luke Adamiec scored eight points and Drew McCleary added seven for the Tigers. Mason Martz netted four points and Caleb Sands and Landon Stanger each had three and Brock Poe two.
Warsaw imprves to 12-2 overall and goes to 5-0 in league action.
The Tigers host Fort Wayne North Side Tuesday at 6 p.m.
The Warsaw freshman girls basketball team topped Concord 43-8 in league play.
Lindsey Bradley led the winners with 17 points.
MacKenzie Kohler had six points and Ema Jenkins and Aubrey Hepler each scored five for Warsaw. Ashely Diecks and Sydney Lancaster each had four points and Nadia Hardy scored two.
The frosh ladies team will host Fort Wayne Concordia on Monday at 6 p.m.
