Sean R. Wilcox, 51, Churubusco, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at his home.

Born November 14, 1966, in Battle Creek, Mich., he was the son of Robert E. and Patricia L. (O’Connell) Wilcox.

Wilcox graduated Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1986, before serving his country in the Army National Guard for two years. Wilcox worked for local factories before being permanently disabled in 1996. He enjoyed riding motorcycles in his early years, and more recently, playing his guitar and recording music with his son Johnathan.

Survivors include his son, Johnathan Wilcox; brothers, Corey (Michelle) Wilcox and Tim Wilcox; sister, Sue (Tom) Hosek; step-mother, Carolyn Wilcox; grandmother, Margaret Wallace; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Sean will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 15, at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City with visitation starting at 1 p.m. Pastor Bill Mueller of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sean’s memory may be made to his final expenses C/O DeMoney-Grimes.
