Marandet Saluted By Crossroads League
AVON, OHIO – Former Warsaw hoops standout Paul Marandet has been honored as the Crossroads League Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 25-31.
The Spring Arbor guard continued his stellar sophomore season with 22 points as the No. 16 Cougars defeated Purdue Northwest 91-69. He also had six assists to go with three steals and two blocked shots while shooting 7-10 from the field and 8-8 from the free throw line.
Marandet, who helped the Tigers reach the Class 4-A semistate game in 2016, has helped Spring Arbor to a 14-2 overall mark this season. He leads his team in scoring at 16.8 points-per-game and also ranks first in assists with 96 and in minutes played per game at 32.7 per contest.
Marandet plays a conference game at Goshen College tonight at 7 p.m. The Cougars, who are currently 2-2 in league action, play at Grace College on Jan. 13 at 3 p.m. and at Bethel College on Fb. 6 at 7 p.m.
