Dennis C. Lambert
Dennis C. Lambert, age 73, of Nappanee, passed away at his home at 3:20 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, after a long illness. He was born March 12, 1944, in Goshen, to Louis and Reatha (Dumph) Lambert.
He was a lifetime area resident of the Goshen and Nappanee area. Dennis married Elaine E. Slater on Nov. 10, 1961, at the Grace Brethren Church in Goshen. He graduated from Goshen High School, and Trinity Bible College in Clearwater, Florida. Lambert was a previous City Councilmen in Nappanee, a member of the Nappanee Kiwanis, and a member of Nappanee Missionary Church, where he was on the church board and a Sunday school teacher and also headed up the Men’s Ministries.
Surviving Dennis are wife Elaine; children Barry (Melanie) Lambert of Milford, Jeff (Deborah) Lambert of Sarasota, and Dawn (Dana) Hollar of Nappanee; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother Bradley (Jane) Lambert) of Pooler, Ga., and a sister Sharon Holderman, of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Bradley Hollar, and a sister Cynthia Anderson.
Lamberts wishes were to be cremated, and there will be visitation from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, until the 6 p.m. Memorial Service, all at the Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel. Pastor Dave Engbrecht will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart.
