WARSAW — Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy held the Dec. 3 meeting at the Kosciusko Community Foundation. The session focused on the orthopedic and healthcare industry in Kosciusko County.
Jackie Gustafson, Depuy; Brad Bishop, Orthoworx; Jeffrey Rockett, Parkview; Karen Kauffman, Warsaw Home Helpers; and Jason Zaugg, KCH, discussed career path and employment opportunities at their organizations and in the community. Students learned the variety of educational paths the speakers took to get in their current and past positions. Bishop detailed information about Project Lead the Way and talked to the participants about non-traditional college jobs. Rockett’s presentation covered the variety of careers available at the hospital which students may not have considered were healthcare related such as campus police, marketing and finance.
The next session centered on leadership styles will be Jan.10, 2018, at Grace College.
