Richard ‘Louie’ Geiger
Richard “Louie” Geiger, 69, Churubusco, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 22, 2017, at his home.
He was born on March 5, 1948, in Wolf Lake, to the late Tonny and Venus (Herron) Geiger. He spent his formative years in Churubusco and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1966.
Geiger was married on Feb. 3, 1973, to Valerie Jean Pressler.
He was a milk delivery man and retired from Prairie Farms in 2007. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandkids play sports, taking care of his yard, playing cards and watching hoosier basketball.
Louie Geiger is survived by his wife of 44 years, Valerie Geiger; two daughters, Erica Geiger and Erin (Randy) Marks; a son Kyle (Kari) Geiger; three brothers, William “Bill” Geiger, C.L. “Pete” Geiger and Roger “Hump” Geiger; seven grandchildren, Keegan, Kaelyn, Hayden, Riley, Ava, Alyssa and Emersyn.
He is preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers, Glenn, Jack, Larry, Jim, Don, J. D., Gerald, Melvin Geiger; and a sister, Marilyn Fulk.
Calling will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017. Calling also one hour prior to the service.
Services will begin at 11 a.m., at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017.
Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Allen County.
