Manchester Softball: Day Chooses Wildcats
NORTH MANCHESTER – On Tuesday, Manchester High School senior Sydney Day signed her letter of intent to continue her academic and softball career at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Day was part of one of Manchester’s strongest teams in program history, helping the squad to a 20-3 mark last season and a state ranking in Class 2-A. Day was one of the top offensive players in the lineup, hitting .306 with 16 runs batted in, 18 runs scored and nine stolen bases.
As a catcher, Day was as good as they come, not making an error in 178 total chances for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
