Warsaw Man Arrested For Manufacturing Meth
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine after an officer discovered a one-pot methamphetamine lab during a traffic stop.
Adam Scott Fulton, 34, 732 Lake St., Warsaw, is being charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, a level 4 felony, and possession of two or more chemical reagents with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, a level 6 felony.
On Nov. 17, an officer with the Claypool Police Department observed an SUV make an improper turn on CR 100W and CR 700S and conducted a traffic stop. While approaching the vehicle, the officer observed the driver bent over as if putting something under the seat.
The driver was identified as Fulton and gave consent for a vehicle search. The officer discovered a plastic bottle that contained a clear liquid and a white powdery substance that was bubbling. The officer was able to identify the plastic bottle as a one-pot methamphetamine lab.
Fulton admitted he was manufacturing methamphetamine and had started manufacturing at a Claypool residence owned by Maria Blair. The officers went to the Claypool residence and Blair allowed them inside. Once inside, officers could smell a strong chemical odor associated with manufacturing methamphetamine. An empty box of sudafed, rubber tubing, cold packs and a hairdryer were all located in the kitchen. Upon searching further, officers discovered additional cold packs, Lye and camping fuel.
Blair advised that Fulton takes her to the store and she purchases pseudoephedrine for him so that he can manufacture methamphetamine. As payment for purchasing the pseudoephedrine, Fulton gives her one gram of methamphetamine. Blair has an active warrant for possession of chemical reagents with intent to manufacture methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance.
Fulton was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Nov. 17, for a $10,250 surety and cash bond.
