Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

9:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, US 30, west of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: David J. Zolman, 37, East Wooster Road, Pierceton. Zolman’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.

6:26 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, SR 25, north of Golf Heights Road, Warsaw. Driver: Larry G. Boggs, 80, SR 25, Warsaw. Boggs’ vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $10,000.

4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, East Arthur Street, east of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Alpha A. Mejia, 21, Oak Brook Place, Warsaw. Mejia advised that she was stopped at a railroad crossing where the signal was flashing. She advised that two vehicles were stopped in front of her. Mejia reported that the truck in front of her began backing up so Mejia put her vehicle in reverse and began backing up in order to avoid a collision. Mejia advised that the vehicle in front of her reversed toward her vehicle at a high rate of speed. Although Mejia honked her horn, she reported that the other vehicle struck her vehicle. Mejia said the driver of the other vehicle then accelerated across the railroad tracks right before the train came through. Damage up to $1,000.
