Patricia Plunkett
Patricia Plunkett, 87, Indian Shores, Fla., and Plymouth, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 9, at her home with her loving family by her side.
Patricia was born on July 14, 1930, in Plymouth, to Robert L and Mildred A (Webster) Plummer. She was a graduate of the Plymouth High School class of 1948. On April 1, 1967, Patricia became the bride of James E. Plunkett. Patricia and James were very devoted and active members of AA in Florida and Indiana, where they made many lifelong friendships. Patricia enjoyed playing golf in her spare time, was an avid reader, enjoyed shopping and snowmobiling. But her greatest joy was time spent with her family and friends.
Left to cherish Patricia’s memory are her children, Cindy and Jon Romig of Argos, Kathy and Bill O’Dell of Grinnell, Iowa, Shelly and Kevin Murphy of Bedford, Susan and Chuck Hagan of Brentwood, Tenn., Jimmy and Diane Plunkett of South Bend, Rick and Phyllis Plunkett of Brimley, Mich., and Kenny and Carolyn Plunkett of Bristol, son-in-law, Bob Flora of Mishawka, and step-father, Dr. Ted Decker of Plymouth. Patricia was further blessed with 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Patricia is preceded in passing by her husband, James E. Plunkett on March 28, 2001, former husband, Jack Metzger on October 14, 2006, her daughter, Debra Flora in May 2016 and an infant brother.

A funeral for Patricia will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street Plymouth, Indiana 46563 at 1:30 p.m. with Chaplain Alex jack officiating.
Burial will follow in the New Oak Hill Cemetery. A time of visiting with the Plunkett family will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Van Gilder Funeral Home.
The Plunkett family requests memorial contributions in Patricia’s honor be given to the We Belong Senior Home, 300 Meadow Lane Plymouth, Indiana 46563.
