Norma “Jean” Good
Norma “Jean” Good, 88, Plymouth, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 3, in the Heritage Point Assisted Living in Mishawka.
Jean was born on May 29, 1929, in Delphos, Ohio, to Howard and Leta (Garns) Irick. Jean married her high school sweetheart, David Good on Feb. 14, 1948. Jean was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was a longtime member of the Marshall County Doll Club, the Marshall County Home Econ. Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Methodist Church.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Susan and Bernard Feeney of South Bend, Linda and Tom Tyler of Brazil; her sons, Jon Good of Plymouth, Mark and Sherri Good of Huntington; also surviving is Jean’s brother, Robert and Janice Erick of Ohio; Jean was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; Jean is preceded in passing by her parents, her son, Gregory L. Good on July 15, 2003, and her granddaughter, Ellen Feeney on Jan. 1, 2005.
The Van Gilder Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Good family and extend its deepest heartfelt condolences. A Celebration of Jean’s Life took place on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Heritage Point Assisted Living, 1215 Trinity Place Mishawaka, Indiana 46545.
A private family graveside service will be held at the New Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth at a later date.
The Good family requests memorial contributions in Jean’s name be made to the Cure for Alzheimer’s Foundation, 50 E. 91st St. No. 100 Indianapolis, Indiana 46240.
