North Central Indiana League Of Women Voters Formed
KOSCIUSKO — Monday evening, Oct. 23, at the Warsaw Public Library, the North Central Indiana League Of Women Voters was formed.
State Co-Presidents Oscar Anderson and Patsy Hoyer as well as Crawfordsville President Gail Pebworth were in Warsaw to establish the Charter and approve board positions.
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
The league voted to name Jama Brown, Syracuse, as president, Amanda Landis, Warsaw, as vice president and Rebecca Burton, Leesburg, as secretary.
The North Central Indiana League of Women Voters serves Kosciusko, Whitley and Wabash Counties.
