Concord Volleyball: Regional Venue Moved To Chesterton
LAPORTE – The Concord volleyball team will now be headed to a different destination for regional play on Saturday.
The Class 4-A LaPorte Regional has been moved to Chesterton High School due to construction at LaPorte High School.
Concord, which beat Warsaw 3-0 Saturday night in the sectional finale at Concord, will play No. 4 Crown Point (32-3) in the first semifinal match at 11 a.m. (Eastern Time). The second semifinal will pit No. 9 Penn (31-4) versus No. 10 Michigan City (32-4). The championship match is set for 8 p.m. (ET) Saturday.
Concord, which is 23-10 on the season, is making its second straight regional appearance.
Crown Point, which beat Lowell 3-0 Saturday night to win the Lowell Sectional title, was Class 4-A state runner-up in 2016.
Crown Point defeated Concord 25-19, 25-22 on Sept. 30 when the two teams squared off in the Warsaw Invitational.
The LaPorte Regional champion advances to the North Semistate on Oct. 28 at Plymouth High School.
