Warsaw Community Public Library Announces The Arrival Of Hoopla
WARSAW — To welcome Hoopla, Warsaw Community Public Library’s newest digital service, the library will be giving away a 7-inch Kindle Fire to two patrons who register for Hoopla between now and Dec. 16.
With Hoopla, WCPL resident cardholders now have access to thousands of movies, television shows, music albums, eBooks, audio books and comics, all available for mobile and online access. Eligible patrons can download the free Hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device, Kindle Fire or visit hoopladigital.com to begin enjoying thousands of titles – from major studios, record companies and publishers. Titles can stream titles instantly through a desktop browser or Hoopla’s mobile app. If the mobile app is used, titles can also be downloaded to a device for offline playback later, where Wi-Fi may be unavailable. Titles are automatically returned and removed from the device at the end of the lending period.
To register for Hoopla, patrons first need their library card barcode number and their four-digit PIN. During registration, patrons will be prompted to create a username and password, which they will then use in the future to access Hoopla digital.
Once this is complete, patrons can begin checking out titles. At this time, WCPL patrons can check out up to 15 items per month through Hoopla. E-books, audio books and comic books can be checked out for 21 days, music for seven days and movies and TV for three days. Hoopla allows multiple patrons to check out the same title at the same time. Hoopla joins WCPL’s other digital services including OverDrive, RB digital and Freegal.
