Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following incidents:

• 4:08 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 5200 block East CR 500N, Leesburg. Stephen R. Ledgerwood reported the theft of a book collection and cash.
• 3:10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 200 block West Main Street, Warsaw. David Smolen reported fraud.
• 2:38 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 3800 block North SR 15, Warsaw. Paul Jerone Pegues IV reported damage to property and an attempted burglary.
• 12:51 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 8200 block South SR 19, Akron. Police were notified of a juvenile who refused to comply with instructions in class.
• 12:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 8200 block South SR 19, Akron. Police were notified of a juvenile who refuses to go to school.
• 6:23 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 1800 block North CR 400E, Warsaw. Police were notified of a hit and run with serious bodily injury.
• 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 400 block South First Street, Pierceton. Cynthia A. Kreger reported a burglary. Take were two jewelry caskets, three lamps, statue, 50 miscellaneous rings.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following incidents:

• 12:49 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1100 block South Harkless Drive, Syracuse. Austin William Long reported the theft of a 1994 Oldsmobile. Value: $1,500.
• 9:250 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 400 block North Dolan Drive, Syracuse. Police were notified of a battery that took place.
• 12:52 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 1200 block South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Officials at Wilbys notified police for a reportable offense.
• 10:03 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 100 block North Pecan Street, Syracuse. Police were called to investigate a battery.
• Friday, Sept. 22, 13900 block North Warner Road and CR 1400N, Syracuse. Marli Katherine Leach reported a hit and run.

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following incident:

• 1:01 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 600 block West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Lola Marguerite Kelly reported a residential entry.

Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following incident:

• 1:50 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 600 block South McClellan Street, Warsaw. Police were notified of a suspicious incident.

Goshen

Officers with the Goshen Police Department investigated the following incident:

• 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 200 block West High Park, Goshen. Kailer Slusser, Milford, reported a hit and run accident in the parking lot of Goshen Hospital.
