Village At Winona Art Fair Named One Of 200 Best Art Shows In America
WINONA LAKE — The 2017 Village at Winona Art Fair was named among the best art shows in America, in the 25th edition of Sunshine Artist magazine’s 200 Best Art Shows in America. The list recognizes top 100 shows in each of two categories: Fine art and design and classic and contemporary crafts. Rankings are determined by a poll of artists who exhibited in 2017. The rankings are weighted to recognize shows at which artists achieve the highest level of art sales.
“We are thrilled to receive the recognition of Sunshine Artist, and especially that the ranking reflects that our art fair was very productive for the artists,” said Nick Hauck, Village at Winona managing director. “Our focus this year was to put on a very artist-friendly show and expand our outreach geographically to attract top- quality artists from around the country. The best artists choose shows that are most likely to generate good sales, and this ranking indicates that we succeeded in that regard.”
Hauck stated that the art fair’s success is a community effort.
“We are so grateful that we have the ability to hold an art fair that ranks among the best in the country,” he said. “It would not be possible without the great support of our community and the people who attend the Art Fair, everyone associated with the Village at Winona, our hard-working volunteers, the patrons who pledge to support the artists with their purchases, and, of course the artists themselves.”
Hauck also said he’s committed to continually improving the art fair experience for artists and attendees. “We are very happy to make the top 100,” Hauck stated. “But we’re going to keep working to not only make the list next year, but to climb higher in the ranking.”
