‘Girl Power’ Event At Wawasee High School
SYRACUSE — The first “Indiana Gets Girl Powered” event will be held from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, in the Wawasee High School cafeteria.
Middle and high school girls are invited to network with each other and make contact with women mentors in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. The event will consist of small group sessions with different mentors from STEM fields, including robotics among others, a dinner social and a panel discussion regarding challenges women face in STEM fields and how those challenges can be overcome.
Dinner will be provided and there is no cost to attend.

Wawasee High School Iron Pride Robotics is the host and the event is sponsored by Linda Chastain, State Farm Insurance agent, and the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.
