Antique Outboard Motor Show Comes To North Webster
NORTH WEBSTER — Antique Outboard Motor Club will hold its fall Antique Outboard Motor Show and swap meet at approximately 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at North Webster Community Park on the west shore of Webster Lake, where the Dixie boat docks. The event normally runs until mid-afternoon.
Hundreds of antique outboard motor restorers, historians, collectors and enthusiasts from across the Midwest and Canada will gather in the park for a day of activities. Events include an exhibition of recent restoration projects, swapping of parts and literature as well as running the antique motors on the lake.
The public is encouraged to attend. There is no admission charge.
Club members invite area owners of old outboard motors to attend the meet for a free motor evaluation. Many motors are not only evaluated but also bought and sold throughout the day. The swap meet includes varieties of parts, literature, accessories and antique motors.
The national Antique Outboard Motor Club classified an antique motor as having been manufactured before 1950 and a classic outboard motor as more than 30 years old.
