Wild Charged With Theft From Former Employer
WARSAW — A Valparaiso man has been arrested after stealing and pawning items from his former Warsaw employer.
Cameron Dean Wild, 23, 2603 Pennington Place, Valparaiso, is being charged with theft, level 6 felony and theft, a class A misdemeanor.
On July 17, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department spoke with an employee of Globe Star, Warsaw. The employee advised that Wild was a previous employee of Globe Star and has since resigned. According to the employee, Wild had stolen a television, valued at $500; a Macbook laptop, valued at $1,200; a video projector, valued at $600; and a space heater, valued at $50.
The employee had received information that Wild had pawned the television at a local pawn shop. The laptop was given to Wild for work use but he had yet to return it to Globe Star. The employee was unable to confirm that Wild was the one who stole the heater or projector.
The officer was able to obtain evidence that Wild had pawned all of the missing items. Wild pawned the projector on Jan. 11, the heater on April 17, the television on May 20 and the laptop on June 10. These transactions occurred at three different local pawnshops.
Wild was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Sept. 9 with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
