Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
12:08 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, East CR 600N and North CR 950E, North Webster. Drivers: Tyler Heintzelman, 27, CR 1000W, Cromwell, and Mark Roser, 63, Highland Drive, Wabash. Heintzelman stopped at the intersection and continued, failing to see Roser’s vehicle approaching. The two vehicles collided. Damages up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
9:34 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, SR 15 and East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Janice Seraypheap,16, Square Road, Warsaw, and Zachary Martz, 40, Apple Court, Winona Lake. Seraypheap rear ended Martz’s vehicle. Damages up to $10,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
3:13 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, East Winona Avenue and Lakelawn Drive, Winona Lake. Drivers: Christopher Archer, 25, CR 175E, Warsaw, and Gene Felix, 59, Lutes Drive, Warsaw. Archer rear ended Felix’s vehicle. Felix companied of neck pain and was transported from the scene. Damages uno to $2,500.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:47 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, SR 13 and Epworth Forest Road, North Webster. Drivers: Coby Martin, 16, EMS W23C Lane, North Webster, and Constance Yerden, 63, Woodfield Avenue, South Bend. Martin rear ended Yardmen’s vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.
Elkhart
Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
1:47 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, SR 15 and CR 146, New Paris. Driver: Aron Farmer, 32, Claypool. Farmer fell asleep at the wheel, causing his vehicle to go off the road and hit a fence. The vehicle then overturned. Farmer complained of back and leg pain and was taken to Goshen Hospital.
Marshall
Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
11:26 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 100 block Tyler Road and Michigan Road, Lakeville. Driver: Jesse L. Elliott, Nappanee. Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle driven by Elliott, in the area of Michigan Road and First Road. The vehicle failed to stop and then turned east on Tyler Road, at which time a high speed pursuit ensued. The motorcycle crashed west of Lilac Road. He suffered lacerations to his legs and complained of pain to his hips and legs. he was airlifted to Memorial Hospital, South Bend, for medical evaluation and treatment. The crash is still under investigation with criminal charges pending.
6:22 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 100 block US 31 and 19th Road, Argos. Drivers: William H. Reese, 60, Argos and Donn F. Whitenight Jr., 47, Rochester. Injured: Reese complained of back pain. Whitenight complained of wrist pain. Both were transported to a South Bend hospital. Reese failed to see the Whitenight vehicle, driving across the median and into the southbound lane of US 31.
