Steven F. Jacob
Steven F. Jacob, 70, of Albion, passed away on Wednesday, Aug.30, 2017, at Goshen General Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 25, 1946, in Kendallville to the late Franklin and Dolores (Olinghouse) Jacob. A lifetime area farmer, he also was a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Jacob was a former Noble County Commissioner, member of theĀ Rotary Club, C.M.A., and belonged to Vineyard Church in Syracuse and Victory Christian Church in Lehigh Acres, Florida. On July 30, 2005, in Syracuse, he married Cinda. She survives.
Also surviving are daughters Rachel Myers of Albion and Janet Jacob of Delta, Ohio; stepdaughters Brittany (fiance Adam Prior) Eyer of Indianapolis and Michele (John) Pfefferle of Cromwell; and stepsons Brent Hoffer and Cory Eyer both of Syracuse. Also surviving are grandchildren Jolene Rashley, Cassie Rashley, Timothy Rashley, Sarah Myers, Andrew Myers, John Pfefferle Jr., Bradley Pfefferle, Brandon Hoffer, Kaylee Hoffer, Bobbie Freese and D.J. Martz; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Stanley (Nancy) Jacob of Albion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Phyllis Jacob in 1989.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday Sept. 5, 2017 at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday Sept. 4, 2017, at the funeral home.
