One was fatally injured in the single vehicle accident.

WARSAW — Kosciusko County officials are currently investigating a motor vehicle traffic crash on Packerton Road near CR 400S near Warsaw.  One male subject has died from his injuries which resulted from the crash.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency personnel responded this morning at 2:49 a.m. to a reported single vehicle crash located south of the intersection of Packerton Road and CR 400S. The crash involved a northbound 2007 Chevy Impala which lost control for an unknown reason exiting the western edge of the roadway into an embankment. The Chevy Impala rolled several times striking a tree. A male occupant was found unresponsive in the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Brent Timothy Riley, 27, of Claypool. Riley was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.

Officers stated that the crash is still currently under investigation.  The Kosciusko County Fatal Team was assisted at the scene by members of the Washington Township Fire Department, Warsaw Fire Department, Lutheran E.M.S., Warsaw Police Department, the Winona Lake Police Department, the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
