Suspicious Device At Milford School, Not Destructive Device
MILFORD — Milford Police Department was called to Milford School Tuesday, Aug. 8, to investigate a suspicious device found on school property. The investigation has determined that fireworks were used in such a manner to cause damage to property. The suspect(s) tried to set the device off but it failed.
The investigation has not produced any suspect(s) at this time. If anyone has seen any suspicious activity at the school between Sunday, Aug. 6 and Monday, Aug. 7, they are asked to contact the Milford Police Department at (574) 658-4941.
The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives were consulted and determined the device was not a destructive device by definition, although it could have caused damage had it worked.
