WARSAW — Tour the Barbee chain of lakes via kayak or canoe Saturday, Aug. 5. Start and end at hot dog boat location in the vacant lot/channel behind Barbee Hotel, owned by Bob and Sherry Marcucilli.

Plan to paddle through the Barbee chain, using close to find destinations where you will collect a numbered index card. Once you’ve collected your index cards from all 10 locations, head back to the starting point where lunch will be served. There will be prizes.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the event runs from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Plan to paddle approximately four miles and be sure to bring a life jacket and a water bottle or other refreshing drink.

Cost is $10 for BLPOA members and $15 for non-members, cash only. You must register and sign a release form before paddling.
