Syracuse Woman Caught Chilling In Stranger’s House
WARSAW — A Syracuse woman is facing residential entry and drug charges after a woman came home to find her sitting on a daybed.
Lisa Ann Withers, 38, Syracuse, is being charged with residential entry, a level 6 felony, possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony, possession of marijuana with enhancement, a class A misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, an officer with the Kosciusko Sheriff’s Department responded to a residential entry July 12.
When the officer arrived he spoke to the home owner who advised she came home and found Withers sitting on a daybed holding one of the victim’s shirts. Withers asked the victim if she could have the shirt. The victim told her no and advised she was calling the police. Withers then left the residence.
The officer spoke to the victim’s boyfriend who advised he knows Withers because she is an ex-girlfirend of one of his friends.
A North Webster officer spotted Withers walking in North Webster and arrested her for the residential entry. According to the affidavit, Withers advised that she had marijuana in her purse.
A baggie of marijuana was identified in Withers’s purse, as well as a baggie of a white crystal like material that field tested positive for methamphetamine.
