Parks And Recreation Department Hosts Zoo Bash

Warsaw Parks & Recreation held a Zoo Bash event Monday, July 24.
WARSAW — Monday, July 23, Warsaw Parks & Recreation held a Zoo Bash event at the Pete Thorn Center.
The event was for children ages 3 to 7. For a $10 fee, children could stuff their own zoo animal and participate in crafts and other fun activities. With several choices of customizable animals, the children were able to choose one and fill it with stuffing. Each child was then given a small star, instructed to make a wish on the star and then put the star inside their animal.
Employees from Potawatomi Zoo, South Bend, showed up to entertain the children with an interactive presentation of several animals, including two tenrecs, two blue-tongued skinks, an African bullfrog and a three-banded armadillo.
