WARSAW – The Lake City Skiers Water ski show team recently qualified to move into the division 1 ranking of the best show ski teams in the nation.

Based in Warsaw where they perform 30 home shows every summer on Sunday and Tuesday evenings, the team took third place in a five-state regional competition in Rockford, Ill., July 8-9, moving the team to the nation’s top division.

While some states have multiple competitive teams, the Lake City Skiers are Indiana’s only competitive show ski team. The team returns to Rockford on Aug. 11-13 to represent Indiana and will be among the top 14 teams in the nation competing for the top spot.
