Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
2:24 a.m. Monday, July 17, North CR 100E, east of East CR 250N, Warsaw. Driver: Ryan N. Dye, 32, North Runkle Drive, Warsaw. Dye advised that he was heading east on CR 250N when he dropped a sandwich in the car. His dog jumped down to get the sandwich, resulting in Dye being unable to use his brakes. Dye went through the intersection and off the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
7:12 a.m. Monday, July 17, South SR 15 and West CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Cassius A. Rovenstine, 30, West CR 100N, Warsaw. Rovenstine collided with a guardrail while making a right turn. Damage up to $2,500.
2:28 p.m. Monday, July 17, West CR 400S, west of SR 15, Warsaw. Driver: Nicholas M. Wagoner, 28, West Boston Street, Syracuse. Wagoner stated he was eastbound on CR 400S when a deer struck the passenger side of his vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
3:31 p.m. Monday, July 17, North SR 15, south of West Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Dawson Hochstetler, 21, East Lincoln Street, Nappanee, and Virginia L. Gonzalez, 39, M Dee Acres, Nappanee. Hochstetler rear-ended Gonzalez’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
1:52 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, East CR 850S, west of South CR 700E, Pierceton. Driver: Brogan M. Hoover, 19, West CR 75N, Etna Green. Hoover struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
5:41 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, North CR 650E, south of East CR 150N, Pierceton. Driver: Abigail M. Mickem, 43, EMS B34 Lane, Warsaw. Mickem struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
11:58 a.m. Monday, July 17, West Market Street, Warsaw. Driver: Edna M. Chandler, 60, East US 30, Pierceton. Chandler struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle at the post office while backing out of a parking space. Damage up to $1,000.
3:26 p.m. Monday, July 17, Argonne Road, Warsaw. Driver: David J. Lee, 47, West SR 14, Silver Lake. Lee struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle while backing up. Damage up to $2,500.
