Booksigning To Benefit AWL
LEESBURG — An opportunity to support the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, through a book signing of Richard Rose’s latest novel “The Gumshoe,” will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 15. The purchase of a book will go toward the support of AWL.
The event will take place at the Tippy Creek Winery, 5920 N. 200E, Leesburg.
“The Gumshoe” is a mystery/thriller set in Chicago circa 1947. Private investigator “Matt” McBride runs afoul of corrupt politicians, vicious mobsters and a trigger-happy Texas femme fatale to prove the “suicide” of his best friend was murder.
Rose, who is originally from Kokomo, is also the author of “The Lazarus Conspiracies,” a mystery/thriller, which received an internationally acclaimed award in fiction at the 2015 Pacific Rim Book Festival in Hollywood. Rose spends his time between the lakes area and Chicago following a career as a first vice president with a major investment firm in Chicago. He has a passion for writing, which includes short stores, novels and screenplays.
Rose is currently writing a sequel to “The Lazarus Conspiracies,” titled “Retribution.” Most of the story in the sequel takes place in the Warsaw, North Webster and Syracuse areas.
