Big Brothers Big Sisters Announces 6th Annual BIG Ride For Kids’ Sake
WARSAW — Big Brothers Big Sisters will hold its 6th Annual BIG Ride for Kids’ Sake on Saturday, Aug. 5, to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters serving Kosciusko County. The event provides riders with the chance to enjoy the open air during the 100-mile round trip motorcycle ride throughout Kosciusko County starting at Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Warsaw location, 1603 North Detroit St. Registration begins at 10 and the ride will begin at 11 a.m.
Cost to participate is $20 for a single rider and $25 for a rider with passenger. All funds raised from this event will go to support and create new mentoring matches in Kosciusko County.
The ride will commence with “The Star-Spangled Banner”, followed by a 100-mile round-trip, police escorted ride. Participants will return to Big Brothers Big Sisters to enjoy a Cook Out, live music, prizes, and family-friendly activities.
The BIG Ride for Kids’ Sake provides the community with the opportunity to support local programs offered by Big Brothers Big Sisters. Right now, there are children in need waiting for their Big Brother or Big Sister in Kosciusko County. Big Brothers Big Sisters recognizes the hardship and challenges children face every day. We are the nation’s leader in one-to-one mentoring. The programs have proven to reduce the risk of dropping out of school, violence, drug and alcohol usage and falling victim to other negative cycles.
