Bruner Road Repair Crews Worked Into The Night
WARSAW — Crews with the county highway department worked into the night to patch a road that had been washed out after torrential downpours Friday, July 7.
South Bruner Street, Warsaw, off of SR 25 just northeast of Palestine was washed away when the flow of water through Robbins Ditch became too much for the drainage pipe. Crews were on scene shortly before 6 p.m. and worked through the night.
The street is a dead-end and the entrance to a residential area. Residents stuck on either side were at the mercy of the crews fixing the problem. While several people advised they were told it would take a few hours, comments left on Ink Free’s Facebook indicated that crews were still there at midnight and a definitive end was not yet in sight.
A secondary drainage pipe can be scene among the rocks used to repair the gap in the road that extends several feet. It has not yet been reported how or when the Kosciusko County Highway Department is going to address a more permanent repair.
