Kosciusko Historical Society Starts Project’s Second Phase
WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Historical Society worked for over five years in conjunction with Kosciusko County Geographic Information Systems coordinator, Bill Holder, photographing the cemetery markers in all cemeteries throughout the county. The grave markers can now be found online from a search engine by entering Beacon, Kosciusko County then choosing “Cemetery Search.”
The Historical Society has recently started on the second phase of the cemetery project – attaching obituaries to the gravesite photos. This is a long term project for the society with a completion goal of 2021. Many volunteers are involved in the process, but more help can always be used.
