George Raymond Rentschler
George Raymond Rentschler, 85, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 5:03 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at his residence.
He was born on May 19, 1932 in Fulton County, Indiana, the son of George A. Jr. and Dessie (Buchanan) Rentschler. On March 6, 1955 in Fulton, Indiana, he married Frances Nellene Tilden and she survives.
Mr. Rentschler served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He had been a dedicated farmer and had also served as a Fulton County Commissioner during the 1970’s. In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards but especially enjoyed spending his time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Nellene Rentschler, Rochester, children, Reesa and husband Michael Mills, Garland, Texas, Leesa and husband Larry See, Twelve Mile, Ind., Timothy and wife Melanie Rentschler, Rochester, fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sister, Helen King, Rochester, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl D. Rentschler, Byron “Barney” Rentschler and Joseph Rentschler.
Private services have been conducted. Burial was in the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Animal Adoption and Education Center.
