Cardinal Services Recognized For Excellence
WARSAW — Cardinal Services has recently received two distinguished recognitions for highest quality. For their programs serving people with disabilities, Cardinal earned the highest accreditation possible from CARF International, the Center for Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities. At the same time, Cardinal’s manufacturing arm, CCI Manufacturing, attained ISO 9001:2015 Certification on its Quality Management System.
In meeting the rigorous standards for ISO certification, CCI assures business customers they can depend on CCI products and services to meet their requirements for high quality. Moreover, the designation tells customers that CCI is not satisfied with merely meeting expectations, but consistently strives to improve each customer experience.
CARF provides an independent, external review of the programs of agencies serving people with disabilities, and makes recommendations for improvements. If accreditation is awarded, it is for a 1, 2 or 3-year period, depending on the strength of the agency. Cardinal received a 3-year accreditation.
In February, Cardinal underwent a rigorous 3-day review of programs by CARF surveyors. The resulting report cited the strength of Cardinal’s programs, employees, management team and Board of Directors, while calling special attention to the overall commitment to the people served through a culture of care, and commitment to the greater community.
The surveyors found Cardinal Services to be “highly responsive to concerns and issues, and a great advocate for the persons it supports,” in addition to being committed to the community and constant improvement.
CARF cited over two full pages of Cardinal’s strengths, including:
- A diverse Board of Directors who are involved in the life of Cardinal beyond the boardroom
- Respect for each person served throughout the agency, and for improving quality of life
- Development of RedBird Art Studio
- Long-term, experienced, and well-trained staff
- Excellent communication among team members and responsiveness to needs of persons served
- Services that provide opportunities for people to learn, grow and improve their skills
- Excellent community relationships that enhance opportunities for those served
