Dixie Day Festival Applications Are Available Now
NORTH WEBSTER — It is time to sign up for the ninth annual North Webster Dixie Day Festival and Artisan Fair. This one day event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 29, is in downtown North Webster on SR 13 in the heart of the lakes country.
It draws a crowd of 3,000-5,000 each year and celebrates the Dixie sternwheel paddle boat, a national historic monument that cruises Webster Lake.
It is sponsored by the North Webster-Tippecanoe Township Chamber of Commerce and the group spends in excess of $3,000 on print and radio advertising in the Warsaw, Columbia City, Fort Wayne, Goshen, Elkhart, Mishawaka and South Bend markets.
The event features a 5K Fun Run, juried arts and crafts fair, antique sale, direct sales and food vendors and an open air market. Also extra cruises for the Dixie boat are added along with family games. Enjoy car, truck, motorcycle and tractor show, vintage snowmobile show and the newly added boat show by area dealers.
Information and maps of the happenings will be available between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at the chamber of commerce information booth in front of the castle on SR 13.
