WARSAW – A large contingent of athletes from the Warsaw track program have earned all-state academic honors for the 2016-17 season.

Chosen as Academic All-State selections for the Warsaw boys track team were senior Trent Shepherd and juniors Kennis Dye, Thomas Ridley and Eric Williamson. Senior T.J. Day was an honorable mention pick.

The WCHS girls team landed seniors Allison Miller, Lauren Orr and Charlene Orr as All-State selections. Earning honorable mention status were seniors Anna Craig, Dayton Groninger, Daisie Poe and Mallory Hooks and juniors Lexie Day and Joelle Messenger.

The Warsaw teams, both coached this Spring by Matt Thacker, had tremendous success on the track too again this season. The girls won conference, sectional and regional championships and the boys were conference and sectional champions and regional runner-up.
